Valentine's Day projects...Sweetheart Teacher Gift Set

I finally got my Sweetheart Workshop on the Go kit and it is absolutely lovely!  I'm not a huge pink pink fan, but CTMH Cotton Candy pink is delicious!!!!  I made this for Joey's teacher this year:  a nugget tin with matching card and gift bag.

The paper is all from the Sweetheart kit.  I used CTMH rubons to create the flourish behind the heart on the bag.  The black hearts are the new epoxy stickers from CTMH.  And the white "ribbon" is actually the leftover tape backing from my ATG adhesive gun!  What's that saying?  Reduce, reuse, recycle!!!
I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day projects from the past...Lollipop Covers

I made these to use as Joey's class valentines last year.   I got the idea from Vicki Wizniuk, another CTMH consultant, and fabulous creator of all things paper.  Her blog's name is Wizard's Hangout, and you can see it here.  I love her style!

Anyways, here's the lollipop covers:

I used White Daisy cardstock with images stamped in black ink from the Life's a Jungle stamp set (discontinued).  The images were colored with CTMH markers.  I used a scalloped edge punch and then glued them on to cardstock in various bright colors.  I think I used glue dots on both sides of the lollipop to keep it in place.  On the back there is a place for "to" and "from".  I also added Stickles glitter glue as an accent on each card and little google eyes attached with CTMH Liquid Glass.  These were so fun and easy to make.

Valentine's Day projects from the past...Nugget Tin

I made this nugget tin for Joey's teacher last year using some leftover papers from the CTMH "More to Adore" paper pack.  It is one of my all time favorite color combinations: blush, chocolate, vanilla cream, baby pink, and a touch of hollyhock.  It is so soft and feminine looking! It was the very first paper I purchased from CTMH. I purchased the tins from Papertrey Ink.  Inside are Hershey's Nuggets wrapped in papers strips.  The outside is a band of paper with a tag attached to the band with an eyelet and paper flower. This is a super quick and easy gift that everyone loves. All supplies are from CTMH unless otherwise noted.

You can create the same look with the cute NEW CTMH "Sweetheart" paper!

I just ordered my new Valentine's papers from CTMH called "Sweetheart" here from the new CTMH Spring/Summer 2011 Idea Book, which just became live to you on February 1st!  The colors are GORGEOUS and the Workshop on the Go package includes our new epoxy stickers!!!  I can't WAIT to play with them.

I can't wait to show you all what I've been working on lately...

Thanks for looking!

Jeanette Lynton founder of CTMH answered MY question!!!!!

As a Close To My Heart Consultant, I follow our founder, Jeanette Lynton's blog (jeanettelynton.com)  A week or two ago she asked her readers to send in questions they had for her.  Well, I asked about her typical day, basically I want to know how she does it all!  And she answered on her blog!!!  See the post with her answer here on her blog.

If you've never visited her blog, I highly recommend it.  She is doing a feature called "52 Weeks of Wonder" where she shows you fabulous techniques to use in your own crafting!

Happy Crafting!!!

Valentine's Projects from the Past... A Nugget Treat Holder

I wanted to share some of the things I have made in the past for Valentine's Day.  The picture below is a "Nugget Treat Holder."   I made these for the teachers at my son's school last year.  This was inspired by a picture shown in the 2010 CTMH Spring Idea Book.

It is made from a tag die cut and scored on the bottom just wide enough to hold a Hershey's Nugget, but you can make it with a paper cutter, scissors, and a hole punch.  I used a scalloped square punch, square punch, heart punch, and small round punch for the decoration.   All materials used to make this are from CTMH unless otherwise noted.
