Fruits of the Spirit Faithbooking Swap Spoiler

I made this for a Fruits of the Spirit Faithbooking Swap - I chose the fruits of "love" and "self-control".  The verse is from 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

I used the retired "Sweetheart" papers, the retired SoulMates stamp set, Pretty pins (in the left hand corner), pearls, and the small hearts are accented with Liquid Glass.  The large heart and the tag were made with my Sizzix Big Shot.  The pattern is from the "Reflections" pattern book.

I am REALLY happy with how this turned out.
Now, on to make the "Self-control" page...

And yet again, some more Artwork...

Left side
Right side

This was one of my very first scrapbook club layouts made with the CTMH retired Sarsaparilla papers.  I love the distressed look on these pages.

Thanks for looking! Newer artwork to be posted soon!!!!

Yes, more artwork...

Here is my first workshop ever - Hero's Handbook.

I created this for my ladies' whose husbands were deploying.  It is designed to be a gift for the deploying spouse, filled with pictures and notes from all the people who love them.

The cover had a plastic cover on it to keep out the sand.
Some pages had space for hidden journalling.
The "R" is our initial and the cocoa square lifts up for more journaling.
Since the pages were 6x6, the pictures were 4x4
or 4x6

Deployments were about a year long. (or a year TOO long...)

And it is nice to know that your soldier knows he is loved, even when you can't be there to tell him.

More space for hidden journaling here.

This was made with the retired CTMH It's A Guy Thing paper, but could definitely be adapted to any masculine paper (Lucky, Typeset, Fanfare, etc)

**Feel free to use these as your own, but please give credit where credit is due - this is my very own design!**

Thanks for looking!

A Sneak Peek at CTMH's Art Philosophy Cricut package!!!

Wow!  Click to see the exciting new Art Philosophy package from Cricut and CTMH!

I have been on the fence for over a year about the Cricut:  do I need it?  would I use it?  would it be too difficult to use regularly? I mean, I have a Sizzix Big Shot that I absolutely love!  Well, when I found out that CTMH had partnered with Cricut on an exclusive "Art Philosophy" package, I made up my mind! I just ordered my Cricut Imagine this week!  I cannot WAIT to play with this stuff!

It will be available for you to order on my website on August 1st (and if your order or gathering totals $250 or more, you get $40 in select FREE items AND can choose this for your 50% off item!)  If you are interested in doing an online gathering, contact me and we will set it up!

Artwork, Artwork, and MORE Artwork...

CTMH is making some fabulous changes for you, the customer, and for me, the consultant.  I've shared a few of the new changes that will benefit you in past posts.  One of the changes they are doing for us involves a newsletter (yay) and changes to the consultant websites.  One of the changes is that our personal artwork won't be posted on our websites anymore.  So, I am posting all of the artwork on my website on my blog, in the next few posts:

The next few pics were made with the retired Silhoutte papers:

This was the make and take from my very first open house using the retired Game On papers:

and we made a bookmark using the retired Boom Di Ada papers:

Reduce, REUSE, Recycle...

I am trying (really, really hard) to use up my HUGE stash of supplies so that I can order from the NEW Fall/Winter 2011 CTMH Idea Book when it launches in August.

So I started off using the Sophia Level 1 kit and the Sophia My Stickease.  And I created something FABULOUS (which I posted earlier) but I digress...

Anyway, I found myself trying to use up all the Stickease on this project and had a ton of leftover square alphabet stickers.

So I cut up small squares of B&T paper and ran them through my Xryon 1.5 create-a-sticker machine along with some punched butterflies from hollyhock cardstock.

Then I attached them all onto the card front - VOILA!!!  Reduced (my stickease stash), Reused (my alpha stickers), and Recycled them onto a new cardfront!

WOW! Look what you can make with a Level 1 kit and stickease!

I bought a Sophia Level 1 kit and the coordinating My Stickease.  I made 36, yes 36 card fronts, a bookmark, a 3x3 card and a 2x3.5card!  What a value - $9.95 for the Level 1 + $4.95 for the Stickease.  That's less than $.50 a card (including the actual cards with envelopes I mounted them on!)  Too bad CTMH is discontinuing the Level 1 kits.  You still have the month of July to purchase Level 1 kits, because after August 1st they are no longer available!  I packaged these up and they are off to the local gift shop to be sold (hopefully!)

Oops!  I just realized I am missing a picture:

Another Great Gift Idea...

Here is another great gift idea... Dry Erase Boards made from frames with glass inserts.  You can use ANY style frame as long as the insert is glass.  (If the insert is plastic, a wet erase pen works better...)  I wanted to continue to use up my older paper packs and stickease, and the odd unused 12x12 papers and long narrow strip scraps are perfect for this project.  These 2 frames are made from leftover scraps of the CTMH discontinued "Bella" paper and stickease.

I used additional scrap papers from the Bella collection to cover the pen and eraser with Mod Podge.

((TIP:  I found that using a sponge brush and lightly coating the surface of the pen, and then using a light coat to cover the back of the paper works great when attaching paper to anything!  I then go over the entire surface with another light coat. ))

I made a few personalized dry erase boards for family and teacher gifts.  First one below was made using the Retired Passages paper and the Retired Vintage Travel Stickease from CTMH.

The Georgia Bulldog themed board was for my son's teacher last year who is a HUGE Bulldog fan.  I made the red patterned paper using CTMH stamps, and purchased the Bulldog stickers at Hobby Lobby.  We didn't hold her Bulldog affiliation against her - GO GATORS!!!!

I purchased the frames at Michaels.  They were sold in a package of 2 and they come in various sizes.  The top 2 frames are 11x14 and the bottom 2 are the next size up.  The markers and erasers were found in a $1 bin somewhere.  Stay tuned for more great gift ideas...

It's in the BAG!

It's in the BAG!!! The GIFT BAG, that is!  I am trying to use up my stash of discontinued papers from Close to My Heart.  I had several 6x6 paper samplers that I did decided to use on gift bags.  The bags are from Michaels or JoAnns or Hobby Lobby and they come in packages of 13.  Our new Kraft cardstock was used to make the tags.  Some bags like the one on the left are embellished with CTMH's coordinating My Stickease.  The middle bag was embellished with circles cut out of the patterned paper, while the bag on the right was embellished with paper cut with flower and circle punches.

I also bought some smaller kraft bags and decided to use these to use up some of the smaller scraps I had left over from the paper samplers.  I used our Kraft cardstock to make 4x4 cards.  The cards are embellished with patterned paper, stamped images (from CTMH of course), My Stickease, and flower punches.

I took these over to the local gift shop to see what would sell.  I tried to price them very reasonably, as my main purpose is to earn a little extra cash and use up my VERY EXTENSIVE paper supply!

Stay tuned for MORE gift shop goodies posting in the near future...and thanks for looking!

I've been FRAMED!!!

I have been busy making frames to sell at the local gift shop.  I use Mod Podge to attach the paper to the painted wood frame, both are purchased at Michael's.  All other supplies are from my CLOSE TO MY HEART discontinued paper and my stickease stash, except for the military themed which I purchased at the local scrapbook store.  I am trying to use all of my stash up to make room for the new exciting products that will launch this August!!!!  WARNING:  there are a LOT of pictures!!!

Thanks for looking!
